Newport Healthcare Technologies, LLC was established in 2012 by Bill Pitts.
Bill has over 25 years healthcare industry experience including 18 years specializing in the integration, interoperability and interface areas.
He has 22+ years of development experience on Cerner’s OPENLink interface engine and is Level 3 certified on the Infor Cloverleaf interface engine.
Bill has also recently received Associate Certification on v6.1 of the Orion Rhapsody interface engine.
During the course of his career Bill has provided solutions to complex implementation and integration problems for a wide range of healthcare clientele, from large health networks to academic medical centers to ambulatory environments integrating both clinical and financial applications.
Bill has extensive HL7 expertise and was a contributing member to the HIMSS Integration & Interoperability Steering Committee from 2004 – 2006.
Bill possesses MBA and MS-MIS degrees from Boston University.
He lives in the Newport, RI area with his wife and three children.
